Did you get lost in our database of multi-ethnic photos? Have some questions about how to streamline your
searches for photos in order to achieve more accurate results? Then this page is the place for you. We realize that finding one perfect
image out of hundreds of thousands of stock photos is no easy task, so here we have listed some basic guidelines that may help you, regardless
of whether you are searching for photos of multi-ethnic children on a playground, a politician speaking from a podium, an environmental activist
working to clean up the world, or a photography student learning how to shoot the perfect image.
Enter one or even several keywords for your search. You may use the words "and," "or," and "not" as separators.
For example, entering:
"Infant and mother" will locate all images containing both an infant and a mother.
"Infant or mother" will locate all images containing an infant, or a mother, or both.
"Infant and mother not father" will locate all images containing both an infant and a mother, but not a father.
Remember: if you do not include a separator word, the search engine will automatically assume "and" has been used.
Too many results? Try searching within the results to shorten the list. Once you have completed your initial search,
click the "Search Within Results" box next to the search bar and type in a new keyword to narrow your results. For example:
An initial search of "infant and mother" yields over 1500 results. Click the "Search Within Results" box and type in "sleeping."
Now there are just over 50 results.
Do you like a certain photographer's style? You may also filter your search by selecting a photographer from the dropdown menu
(click the link that says "Advanced Search" under the search box). If the keyword(s) field is left blank when performing the search, then all the
images for the selected photographer will result.
If you know the image number of the photo you are looking for, enter it into the search box. Our image numbers look
like this: CHI021DYW103 001. Keep in mind that the numbers are dependent upon having exactly 16 characters, including spaces.
So, if your image number looks like this - EGY023JG 003 001 - be sure to put a space after "JG" so the system will recognize the entry.
If it looks similar to the first example listed here (CHI021DYW103 001, with three letters in the middle instead of two), then you only need a
space between 103 and 001). If you are confused, please contact us and we will assist you right away.
On the homepage you'll find subcategories located underneath each large image
of our major categories. Clicking on any of the subcategory boxes will reveal numerous images. This is a great way to browse related images
without having to make your search too narrow with keywords.
